We decided to meet up with the prominent S2000 Club of the UAE and it sure was a busy day. Sorry for the long delay in posting up the photos and a very special thanks to everybody who managed to take and upload these shots! We look forward to hang out with the Honda S2000 club again and any other auto community out there.
Car communities are pretty small here and it really helps to join forces and work together on building better meets, events and drives!
When it comes to keeping your engine cool and prolonging the life of your oil & engine; this oil cooler kit can be a consideration for spirited driving on the streets and racing on track, specially here in the UAE.
Some of our members decided to wake up at 4:30 am and make a drive towards Jebel Hafeet.. For those who are surprised about why would anybody drag themselves out of bed at 3 am to go for a drive to Jebel Hafeet, they really know what they are missing. This road is built for cars like the 86, BRZ or S2000. For more evidence, check out this video footage from Sid’s 86.
This is probably one of those handful of heavily altered 86/BRZs in the UAE. Loaded with the most common and aftermarket extras available from Perrin, GrimmSpeed and Cusco; we have no exact idea about what upgrades are used or how much extra performance is squeezed out of it.
It was awesome seeing all those cars laying around. We went there to show everybody that we are here and we are growing!! I barely managed to snap photos this time but this is what was salvaged from the day. Some shots of our convoy along with some of the funky stuff we found at MME..
Thank you for those who managed to make it to the event; especially those who drove all the way from AD.. From now on we will working on making life easier for our Abu Dhabi members. Also, it was nice to meet some of the new faces and members there!
For our guests and visitors, in case you missed all our previous events then prepare yourselves for our April schedule!
Since petrol is locally cheap & there is a lack of any significant tree hugging population in the region; we assumed this piece of news wont interest you, still we decide to tell the tale. The automotive world is knee deep in Green Heaven and there are no signs of turning back. Rumors of electric powertrain kits & super hybrid prototypes are becoming a reality for the 86.
Global Subaru marketing manager Atoshi Atake, was recently quoted as saying, “We have already had many requests from interested customers regarding a faster version. Let me say this, we will certainly satisfy our customers. We are already working on a faster version.”
Rumors speak of a turbo-charged version of the BRZ being planned as we speak. Recently, Subaru dropped a 2.0 liter boxer engine in their new Legacy model; pumping out impressive figures of 296 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. This same engine might make it in the future BRZ model.
