Alpha Romeo Roadster to be based the New MX-5

The Mazda MX-5, being the best selling 2 seat roadster ever made, is a good example of the classic roadster perfectly reborn into modern times. The car is not a popular choice here in the UAE compared to other places especially due to the distressing price-tag at the Mazda dealer.

Currently, Mazda is working on developing a new lighter more advanced MX-5 but that is not the only big news; Mazda & Fiat are working on settling an alliance which could yield to the creation of an Alpha Romeo roadster based on the new MX-5 platform.

Such move is justified as Alpha Romeo desperately needs a rear wheel drive roadster. It somehow is the essence of the brand especially after settling mostly with front wheel drive for some couple of decades so far.

2012 Motoring Middle East, 4th Meet

This can be said to be the best Motoring Middle East gathering ever. Bringing together members of the Honda community, Seat Club, JAACK, Mustang Club and various other motoring communities of the UAE & middle east.

We sure do hope an event of such caliber could mean more communication and unity among motoring communities of the region. One thing for sure the community is growing bigger and better than ever.

Evolve Motor Club 2nd Fun-Speed Run at Dubai Autodrome

Evolve Motor Club ( is one of the most outstanding auto enthusiast communities in the UAE, known for organizing and hosting a variety of events for years. The Fun-Speed Run is a speed test/autocross race that is organized for the second time by EMC’s members. The race was yesterday afternoon at the Autodrome Oval Track. The weather was cool & windy, after a long wait on the UAE’s winter climate to kick in and the track’s surface was pretty dry & dusty.
