We decided to meet up with the prominent S2000 Club of the UAE and it sure was a busy day. Sorry for the long delay in posting up the photos and a very special thanks to everybody who managed to take and upload these shots! We look forward to hang out with the Honda S2000 club again and any other auto community out there.
Car communities are pretty small here and it really helps to join forces and work together on building better meets, events and drives!
This year’s Tokyo Motor Show featured some really interesting concept cars from Nissan and Honda. The following concepts seem hint that there is still an appeal and interest in an entry level drivers’ car which is something we dearly miss these days. Nissan’s IDx Freeflow sends a strong message with its resemblance to the once reputable Datsun 510; while Honda’s Beat, seems to have grown a bit bigger than its Kei car origins.
First of all, apologies for the limited amount of photos for this event as we were busy having too much fun. We head out as a convoy from Dubai Outlet Mall towards Al Ain on a very hot afternoon. As we reach Al Ain we get greeted by dark clouds, cooler weather, rain fall and finally the guy who made it all possible, Theo, the boss of Adapt Performance.
The process takes, almost, the same time as installing coilovers but goes to a slightly different route as we had to disassemble each strut, remove the stock springs and replace them with the nice blue H&R ones. The end result was very satisfying, coupled with H&R wheel spacers on the front and the back.
