Meguiar’s FRS is a neat piece of inspiration for those who wish to cosmetically modify their 86 or BRZ.
The over-all look of the car is not heavily altered; its only small, subtle yet elegant changes that make quite an impressive difference in the overall character of the FRS.
Apparently, the people behind this build, including Jonsibal Design, decided to give the FRS a ‘European sports car feel’.
The car was completely stripped to the shell to be finished in Meguiar’s “Fly Yellow” and later complimented with a gunmetal stripe flowing from the hood to the trunk along with the blacked out emblems. The headlamps were given a charcoal treatment, the taillamps are tinted in red and the trunk gets a FiveAD lip spoiler.
A Chargespeed carbon fiber lip kit was selected as it does not radically alter the stock look of the FRS.
The real wild bits start to emerge when you look at the Porsche GT3 like center lock wheels conversion and that nice fleshy interior.
Forgeline arranged the center lock conversion along with the 19″ GA1-R wheels with Pirelli P-zero Corse tires. The ride height is dropped by KW coilovers.
The center lock system is actually fitted using a special adapter so no major or crazy mechanical conversions were involved.
Meanwhile the interior did not change much in form but the newly introduced finishes and materials give it a complete up-scale feel. Emulating the atmosphere of exotic car interiors, the whole cabin is bathed with grey alcantara and black leather along with minor carbon fiber accents and yellow stitching.
