Chrysler's Social Media Slips

Good Morning! Here’s a little something to go with your morning coffee. Seems like Chrysler have been hiring the wrong people for their social media department.

Lately, (as pictured above) somebody, working on the twitter account of Dodge, tweeted the below twit tweet with a linked picture of a modified BMW E46 3 series police car:

Not even a #DodgeFan outlaw can out run this Challenger cop car”

This is funny not because the picture is that of a BMW rather because it can be related to an even better incident that occurred much earlier on the Chrysler Autos Twitter account:

The ‘F bomb tweeter’ of Chrysler Autos was fired after posting the below controversial comment. The tweet was caught by many right at the last moment before it was instantly removed.

Perhaps he hated his job..

 

Statement in Response to Inappropriate Tweet from @ChryslerAutos

This morning an inappropriate comment was issued from the Chrysler brand Twitter handle, @ChryslerAutos, via our social media agency of record, New Media Strategies (NMS). After further investigation, it was discovered that the statement was issued by an NMS employee, who has since been terminated.

Chrysler Group and its brands do not tolerate inappropriate language or behavior and apologize to anyone who may have been offended by this communication. Furthermore, the Company has set in place appropriate steps to ensure that this does not happen again.
