The $15,900 Delorean Watch

This wont take you back in time but it will allow you to carry a piece of Delorean with a price tag equivalent to a Delorean in the 80s, after DMC went bankrupt.

Roman Jerome are the creators of this watch; known for unusual creations, such as the the Moon Dust time piece, which apparently contains actual moon dust. The Eyjafjallajökull-DNA watch has a dial that incorporates ash from the volcano in Iceland of the same name.

“Entirely made of brushed stainless steel, this chronograph uses the same materials as the original bodywork of the DeLorean car, of which certain elements have been melted together with the steel of the bezel,” the company said in a release.

It has a mechanical self-winding movement, 23 jewels, and a rhodiumed and satin-brushed dial, as well as smaller dials with chronograph functions.

There’s an engraving of the DMC-12 on the back. If you want to go for a plunge, the watch is water-resistant to 30 meters.

John Delorean, before he passed away in 2005, was pushing the idea of a luxury watches brand, ”Delorean Time”.

You can be one of the 81 few that will be buying this watch. Probably to keep it as an emergency time piece that you can barter in post apocalyptic times. Regardless the beauty of it is that it reminds us of those times when Delorean was one outstanding phenomena in the history of the car world.
